Bilingual Marketing Intern (Korean/English)

StudentUniverse is looking for a current college student that is fluent in Korean to fulfill an open internship position. An internship with StudentUniverse is a hands-on marketing experience - you will work closely with the StudentUniverse marketing team to develop and execute new marketing strategies targeting the growing Korean travel market:

  • Online
  • Offline
  • Social media
  • Research
  • New channels

Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Research trending topics
  • Translate articles and posts
  • Reach out/communicate with Korean organizations at colleges/universities
  • Analyze the current alternative marketing channels
  • Develop marketing initiatives for Korean markets
  • Suggest new channels
  • Develop marketing strategy for the new channels
  • Present findings and conclusions to marketing team
  • Assist marketing with current programs

An ideal candidate will be responsible, manage their time well and be able to work independently as well as with the team.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Korean
  • Must speak fluent Korean
  • Have been studying in the U.S. for >1 year
  • Strong understanding of Korean and U.S. culture
  • Must be familiar with Facebook and Twitter

Additional Qualifications:

  • Passion for travel and digital marketing
  • Previous internship experience
  • Heavy user of social media
  • Familiarity with Photoshop or at least one photo editing software

Education: Undergraduates and graduates working toward a degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.

Timing: January 2015 to May 2015, 10 hours per week. EOE.

Compensation: Paid internship. Additionally, you will gain invaluable experience working with a leading travel company and understanding of the digital marketing space. You will have the opportunity to lead in a collaborative environment and fully engage in the launch of online promotional campaigns.
