Chinese Market Development Manager

We are looking for a passionate Chinese marketer to join our growing team. You should be a strong writer, motivated, hungry to learn new things, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple deadline-intensive projects at once. You should have 2-3 years of experience in Marketing to/in China.

We have a young, motivated team that gets things done but we have a good time doing it. We’re growing fast and breaking records.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build a business development strategy to grow business within the Chinese-speaking markets in US and China.
  • Identify and develop new potential partnerships, negotiate contracts and develop new relationships for Chinese-speaking market in both the US and China.
  • Nurture ongoing partnerships within China and the US.
  • Manage and execute marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Establish marketing strategies and calendar for outbound and inbound Chinese student travelers.
  • Manage Chinese social media channels (Weibo, WeChat and more) including social ads, running campaigns to achieve customer acquisition goals.
  • Translate and generate Chinese versions of email campaigns, landing pages, web pages, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with internal team members on Chinese market SEO, PPC, design, email, public relations and more on marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze trend and performance of Chinese market initiatives to understand and improve future campaigns.
  • Represent the company at on-campus events and exhibitions, engaging with large groups of Chinese students and businesses about StudentUniverse.

Requirements:

  • Chinese language native speaker
  • 2+ years experience studying abroad in the US with an understanding of Chinese international students
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing or related field
  • Strong copywriting skills in Chinese
  • Proficient English communication skills
  • Experience with large-scale marketing projects and/or partner projects with Chinese businesses
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to speak with Chinese partners outside standard business hours
  • Photoshop and HTML skills a plus
