Human Resources Manager

StudentUniverse is growing fast and we are looking for an HR strategist and leader to manage the full HR cycle. You will have the ability to balance strategic ideas with day to day HR activities while providing HR support to all levels of staff members across multiple locations. The right candidate can develop and run great recruiting and retention programs. We’re based in Waltham, there’s 65+ of us and we’re looking to add a lot more in the next few years. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Human Resources strategy
  • Work with management to determine and carry out recruiting strategy globally
  • Manage employee life cycle process from onboarding through payroll, benefits admin, termination
  • Ensure compliance with current employment laws, both federal and state
  • Partner with executive management to lead, plan, and execute strategic HR initiatives, such as recruiting, talent retention and creation of new career development programs
  • Coordinate and support immigration filings
  • Perform organizational reviews and present suggested improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in a proven Human Resources leadership role preferably in technology environments
  • Approachable, professional, and able to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Tech-savvy and experienced with leading HR software solutions
  • A doer. We’re small and we need people that can roll up their sleeves and get stuff done. If you want to be told exactly what to do – this is not for you.
