Summer Copywriting Intern

Calling all starving student authors! Tired of writing all of your genius ideas on napkins or on some secretly “abandoned” Tumblr profile? We are seeking a student writer who can inspire student travelers to leave their dusty dorm rooms and jet set around the world. As a travel company we are seeking someone who has already been bitten by the travel bug and feels passionate in writing about places far and near, places they have seen, and places that they have only dreamt of.

Role Overview:
StudentUniverse is looking for a copywriting intern/self-proclaimed word nerd to join our SEO team for the summer. Conceptualize, write, and edit engaging content for web landing pages and travel guides. This paid internship will be for the summer of 2016.     What you’ll do:
  • Assist the SEO team with all content initiatives.
  • Research and write travel guides for fellow student travelers.
  • Insert content into the CMS and assist in posting pages live.
  • Collaborate with our talented designers on site graphics and page layout.

    About you:
  • You’re everyone’s go-to when they need their term papers proofread…or written.
  • You love to collaborate but can work independently.
  • You would have a minor in Google research skills if your University offered it.
  • You’d be comfortable with writing about how to find cheap flights, Peru’s currency, what to eat in Italy, and how to backpack Europe on a budget.

    Requirements:
  • Current enrollment in a four-year university or graduate program studying communications, English, marketing, creative writing, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in marketing and advertising.
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills.
