Travel Services, Team Leader

Summary:
As a rapidly expanding travel company, StudentUniverse is looking for an energetic, results-driven Travel Services Team Lead who enjoys the fusion of great technology and strong customer relationships. The ideal Team Lead understands that travel presents an opportunity for educational experiences outside of the classroom. You should have a strong desire to work with students and faculty to create life changing travel solutions for educators. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a team of driven sales agents to hit team sales goals
  • Mentor, coach, motivate and develop sales agents
  • Manage sales leads and sales pipeline
  • Partner with Operations and Business Development teams to align focus and department goals
  • Provide weekly reports to Management outlining department KPIs and strategies to improve shortfalls and enhance productivity
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure generation of high quality leads and build online presence for Groups department
  • Work with Vice President to develop and deliver annual department strategy and focus
What we hope you bring to the table:
  • A passion for travel and the desire to create travel solutions for educators
  • 2-5 years of corporate/leisure travel agency experience in a leadership role
  • GDS familiarity – Sabre skills are preferred but not required
  • CRM experience – Salesforce preferred
  • Professional and thoughtful written and oral communication skills
  • A customer service oriented mentality - a natural relationship builder
  • Excellent client facing skills – clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • A love for healthy competition while still understanding the importance of a team
