We certainly don’t mean to sound like your parents, but think of this for a minute: Every year thousands of students go to “classic” Spring Break destinations. They get drunk in Cancun, they fall asleep on the beaches of Florida, do keg stands in Texas – you get it.

Though there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, what if you upped the ante a little bit? What if we told you that every year we send thousands of students to Europe for Spring Break, heck even South America and Asia. Why? Because they took the time to plan and they dared to explore! So before you book what everyone else is booking, try this: Start with the destination(s), not the safe, not what people did last year, but where you actually want to go.

Take Europe as an example; have you ever seen the city of lights from the top of the Eiffel tower? Have you ever gone clubbing in Amsterdam, or met other young backpackers in London? Take charge of your adventure, dare to explore and you’ll be amazed how much you can experience even when you’re on a student budget. Does it sound good? Here are some tips to get you started:

Search! You can search on our site for the best deals. It may sound like we’re stating the obvious, but you’d be surprised how often we hear people say; “oh, I always thought going to Europe would be a lot more expensive”. Searching is fast, free and exciting – so check out what it would cost to start your next adventure. We've got some cheap spring break ideas if you're looking for low cost destinations.

Be flexible! Look at different destinations, departure times and different hotels and hostels.

Lead the way! Create an itinerary, collect a few facts and pictures, price it out and then send it to your friends. “Wanna go to Europe for Spring Break” is a pretty cool email to get, wouldn’t you agree?
